the Passing of Bud Carson

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Bud Carson. Bud was a tremendous coach and a great friend. His contributions as our defensive coordinator in the 1970s were vital to the success of our Super Bowl championship teams. His knowledge was truly ahead of its time and helped form the famed ‘Steel Curtain’ defense. Bud was also a great friend and a caring person who made a positive impression on everyone he met. Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife, Linda, and his entire family. Bud will remain in our prayers and will be missed by everyone who knew him.”
