HELPS FIRE CLIMB INTO FIRST PLACE

Martin rebounded from missing his only game of the season with an injured
knee to lead the Rhein Fire (5-2) to a 24-14 win versus the Berlin Thunder
(3-4).
Martin, who missed the Fire''s Week 6 loss to the Scottish Claymores, completed
10-of-16 passes against Berlin for 94 yards. The victory gives Rhein a
share of first place with the Frankfurt Galaxy (5-2), who lost in Week
6 to the F.C. Barcelona Dragons, 31-10.

Steelers''
defensive back Nijrell Eason started at left cornerback and registered
two tackles, but could not help the Frankfurt Galaxy (5-2) avoid a 31-10
loss at the hands of the F.C. Barcelona Dragons (2-5). The loss drops
Frankfurt into a first-place tie with the Rhein Fire.
Steelers'' safety Eugene Clinton, who played in a reserve role for the
Dragons, recorded two special teams tackles in the game.

Steelers'' kicker Joe O''Donnell booted two field goals during the Amsterdam
Admirals'' (2-5) 17-13 loss to the Scottish Claymores (4-3).
O''Donnell,
who converted two field goal attempts of 40 and 27 yards, is seven-of-nine
on the season and ranks sixth in the NFL Europe League with 24 points.
Amsterdam
tight end Bryan Walker saw action as a reserve, while Steelers'' center
McAllister Collins started his fourth game of the season for the Claymores.
